Things Have Shifted

For any one following this blog, things have been temperarily moved to a private blog while we finish thing up this semester. I will still try and keep the world updated when i can.

Get it Reviewed

Sam came in and showed the changes that she made on her work after our discussion 2 weeks ago, and It looks great. Now she is going to make some other changes to improve it even more. If any animators can't meet let me know and I can give you a critique via e-mail. We need to keep moving forward! Keep up the great work, and show it off so; it can be improved!

Ladder Rig

Here is a great example from Sid of what the ladder is rigged to do. I don't know how many animators are taking advantage of it's ability to bend, but I think it can be a subtle addition to all the animations. Try it out and see if it improves your work.

Animatic July 29 2010

This is the Animatic so far. We showed this to Mark Walton of Dreamworks and he gave some great information to go off of. In general he said it needs to be edited tighter, and the poses should be more exaggerated.

A Good Critique

Today we had a good session going over what Mark Walton talked to us about in California. If you were here, we talked about plenty of things that can be reworked. We wanted to talk to everyone and get moving on more animation. Please come next week ready to show new work and ready to make changes. Thanks to the four animators that were here, I really appreciate it!!!

Siggraph

We are taking the animatic to Siggraph, and to Dreamworks and Nickelodeon. Wish us luck, and get ready to work extra hard when we get back so we can finish!

Good Animation Example

I need to be showing off some of the great animation that is being done on Lizard and the Ladder. Hopefully the animators wont mind. This was done by Sam, she is doing a great job getting Leonard to think. He also has good wait and anticipation.
